Its matching numbers 289 engine runs excellently with a C4 automatic transmission, making it a joy to drive. - Engine rebuilt in May 1993, featuring new rings, bearings, seals, valve job for unleaded fuel, timing chain, oil pump, pushrods, fuel pump, water pump, and a rebuilt original distributor, starter, and alternator. The engine block was honed, not bored. - Transmission rebuilt in May 1993, including installation of a medium shift kit and new U joints. - Suspension rebuilt in May 1993, with NOS Ford GT rear leaf springs, all-new brakes, front and rear wheel bearings, and other components replaced. - Paint job by Sousa's Auto Body in 1996, accompanied by the replacement of all exterior trim with NOS pieces, all-new weather stripping, and a completely new interior. The rims, stored since 1969, were sourced from a 1969 Mach 1. - By 1997, the car was in show-ready condition. - In 2006, the interior received a refresh with new upholstery and foam, carpet, and rear quarter panels, alongside the replacement of all hoses and belts. - Converted to a Sprint B package, including fog lights, a C stripe, wheels, and a pop-open gas cap. - Although the car did not originally come with a vinyl top, it was added during restoration. - In March 2011, the engine compartment harness was replaced, along with installation of new halogen headlights, a comprehensive brake check, oil change, transmission service, and replacement of the master cylinder and all fuel hoses. - In March 2013, the car was purchased by its third owner, who has diligently maintained and regularly driven it. - In September 2017, the current owner acquired the Mustang with the intention of enjoying and showcasing it locally.
