This 1967 Mustang was meticulously crafted with passion and meticulous attention to detail by a dedicated private car enthusiast. With extensive experience building cars for friends and family, this project held special significance as a tribute to both the enthusiast and his wife's shared love for Mustangs. The restoration commenced with a complete strip-down of the body and chassis, followed by comprehensive replacement, repair, and sealing of all necessary components. A custom-built 351 Windsor engine, equipped with essential upgrades for reliability and producing over 400 horsepower on pump gas, was installed. The engine was paired with a five-speed Tremec TK600 transmission, precisely matched to the rear end for optimal torque and acceleration in low gears, as well as low RPMs at high speeds for extended drives. A hydraulic kevlar clutch and polished radiator ensure smooth operation and temperature regulation. Incorporating FAST fuel injection technology, the car starts and runs effortlessly with modern convenience. The suspension underwent a complete update, resulting in exceptional handling and a comfortable ride. Notable enhancements include rack and pinion steering with a tilt column, power steering, Chris Alston's Chassisworks chassis components, front coilover conversion, custom rear axle housing with 3:55 gears, coilover 4-link rear suspension, and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. Special attention was given to replicating the iconic sound of the original 390 Bullitt, achieved through meticulous exhaust system selection and customization. An over-the-top professional sound system was seamlessly integrated, replacing the rear fold-down seat and providing an incredible audio experience. The interior was meticulously designed for both aesthetics and functionality, with custom speaker housings, a Kenwood Wireless Bluetooth AM/FM radio phone system, and hidden wiring for a clean engine bay appearance. The trunk received equal attention to detail, featuring high-end carpeting and a rear-mounted battery with a keyed shutoff switch for security. Vintage Air A/C ensures comfort on hot days, making every drive a pleasure. With its head-turning presence and exceptional driving experience, this Mustang is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and modern technology. With only approximately 3,550 miles since the build, it offers a rare opportunity to own a meticulously crafted 1967 fastback that embodies the spirit of pro-touring excellence.
