Originally a 318 "Gold Duster," this car now boasts a 1968 340 engine paired with a 727 transmission and 8 3/4" rear axle. It hails from California originally and has had an interesting ownership history – the current owner is both the 3rd and 5th owner. They first owned the car from 1992 to 2001, and then repurchased it in 2016. The engine underwent rebuilding during the initial ownership period, featuring .030 over sizing, a purple grind .484 cam, steel crank, custom heads, and a Carter AVS carburetor. The 727 transmission was also rebuilt two years ago, along with the front suspension receiving attention. The rear axle sports 3:23 rear gears, while the car is equipped with front disc brakes and 11" drums at the rear. The exhaust system is 2 1/2" with Magnaflow mufflers. The car retains its factory air conditioning, power steering, and brakes. A recent custom interior has been installed, featuring a Tuff steering wheel. Entertainment is provided by a Pioneer Supertuner with CD changer, amplifier, and subwoofer. The car has undergone an older repaint in its original color, with added 340 decals.
